The other Boys Soccer Results from Monday

Since I attended the Cairo-ICC game and already wrote up a big piece on that we'll skip over that game and the implications and instead take a quick peak at the other three games that took place on Monday.

Catskill v. Hudson

In a game where I thought scoring may be rampant, the Cats instead kept Hudson winless and won a defensive battle 1-0 in Hudson. Adam Kahlil scored the games lone goal in the second half to help Catskill earn their third victory of the year.

In a battle of goal keepers Ricky Meyers made six stops for the Cats while Brett Delamater made eleven for Hudson.

Up next for the 0-10 Bluehawks will be a difficult trip to face undefeated ICC under the lights in Valatie on Wednesday night. Catskill who improved to 3-6-1 with the win will next square off against Cairo Durham in Cairo on Wednesday.

Maple Hill v. Greenville

The Wildcats made the long trek to Greenville on Monday and continued to gel as a team and improve with a 4-0 win over the Spartans. The victory keeps Maple Hill firmly in the top tier of the Patroon but still three losses behind league leader ICC. Greenville had a chance to draw to .500 in the league but instead fell to 4-6.

Maple Hill scored a pair of goals in each half as Bruce Adams, Adam Fuller, Corey Legge and Steven Sepkowski each found the back of the net.

Greenville will now host Chatham on Wednesday while the Wildcats are off until Friday.

Taconic Hills v. Chatham

Chatham remained alone in third place in the Patroon behind ICC and CD after posting a dominating 7-0 victory over Taconic Hills. The Panthers scored four goals in the first half before adding three more in the second as they improved to 7-2-1. The Titans fell to 1-8 and will host Coxsackie Athens on Wednesday while the Panthers travel to Greenville.

Todd Van Alstyne finished the game with 2 goals and 2 assists while teammates Tyler Mashaw, Cody Clifford, Marley Carroll, Ryan Behrens and Charlie Hughes each added a single goal apiece. Will Gauthier tallied 2 assists for Chatham while Nick Faxon added one.

In goal Steve Oleynek was forced to make just 2 saves to earn the win while Jake Littman and Gabe Arcuri combined to make 25 stops in goal for the Titans.
