The season is winding to a close for the Patroon Conference girl's soccer season. After Tuesday's results most teams will play Thursday then again next Monday before entering sectional play or having their season come to a close.
Ichabod Crane v. Taconic Hills
The Riders remained alone in first place after a 3-0 win over the Titans on Tuesday. ICC must now just hold off against winless Catskill on Thursday then fight off against a very good Greenville team on Monday.
Mariela Jacome scored the game's only goal in the first half before Alex Armstrong and Jessica Mink added goals to ice the win in the second. Alicia Mink only had to make 2 saves in goal for the win while Janine Hamm made 14 stops for the Titans.
Cairo Durham v. Maple Hill
Playing without some seniors who were suspended for the remainder of the season the Wildcats remained within striking distance of ICC incase the Riders slip up thanks to a 4-1 win over C-D.
Meeghan Arno netted a hat track in the first half all assisted by Sierra Legge before Legge added her own goal assisted by Arno in the second half. The Mustangs lone goal came from Nicole Zacchio.
C-D ends their season on Monday when they host Hudson while the Wildcats host Chatham Thursday before heading to Taconic Hills on Monday.
Catskill v. Chatham
Winless Catskill traveled to Chatham on Tuesday and struggled mightily falling 8-0 to the Panthers. Chatham scored 3 goals in the first half and added another 5 in the second en route to the win.
Amanda Taylor finished with 2 goals and 2 assists while Cailey Nieto added 2 goals and 1 assist. Taylor Wenk and Alyssa Keeler each added a goal and an assist while Meylssa Sweet and Dawn Lensick each added goals. Brittany Lossow made 5 saves in the win while Meghan Baxter made 16 stops for Catskill.
Catskill heads to first place ICC on Thursday while the Panthers will host always tough Maple Hill in a pivitol late season meeting.
Coxsackie Athens v. Hudson
The Indians went on the road on Tuesday and walked away with a 3-0 victory over the homestanding Bluehawks. The Indians scored one goal in the first half before adding two more in the second to secure the win.
Emily Proper and Brianna Blunck each finished with a goal and an assist while Kelsey Lenney added a goal. Alison Brockett tallied the final assist while Jenna Morse made 6 stops in goal for C-A. In goal for Hudson Jackie Hall made 13 saves in the loss.
The Indians will travel to Greenville on Monday in a huge contest for Class B sectional seeding on Monday while Hudson hosts Taconic Hills on Thursday.
