My mistake on that last post. For some reason I thought ICC had a draw against Cairo the first time around, and I had totally forgotten about the Chatham-ICC draw in Valatie, even though I was there. So right now Chatham has 3 losses (2 to Cairo, 1 to ICC) and a draw (with ICC), Maple Hill sits with 3 losses (Cairo, ICC and Chatham once each), Cairo Durham is alone in second place with 2 losses (both to ICC) and Ichabod Crane remains alone in first place with one loss (MH) and one draw (Chatham).
Taking a look at the remaining schedules I think the title is certainly ICC's to lose as they play just three more games against Taconic Hills, Catskil and Greenville, a trio of teams they defeated 13-3. Keep in mind however that the Titans were the first team to score on the Riders this year and ICC had to fight back from down two to pull out a win against Greenville.
The Mustangs are also in good shape with four games to play as they play Taconic Hills, Greenville and Hudson, three teams they beat by a combined 11-1. The 'Stangs however do have one more major contest left as they have to face off with red hot Maple Hill who they beat just 2-1 earlier this year.
Maple Hill will need a lot of help to bring home the league title this year including going undefeated and hoping ICC drops 2 of their final 3 games and Cairo to lose 2 to earn a share of the title or 3 of their final 4 to earn the title outright. The Wildcats have by far the toughest schedule of the top four teams as they have to face 2 top tier teams (Chatham & Cairo), a middle of the pack team (Coxsackie) and only one bottom tier team (Taconic Hills).
Chatham is in even worse shape than the Wildcats in terms of what they would need to capture a league title. The Panthers would need to go undefeated the rest of the way followed by ICC losing 2 games for a share of the title or 3 for it outright. Cairo would also have to drop 2 games and Maple Hill would fall into a share with a tie or give Chatham the title with a loss if all those other scenarios fell into place. Certainly a long, difficult and unlikely road for Chatham to get a piece of the league title. Chatham plays Hudson, Taconic Hills, Coxsackie and Maple Hill in their final four games.
