Boys Soccer & ccSCOOP

Alright two things here...1) I'll be doing a Boys Soccer Week in Review here in this blog but will only be focusing on the four Patroon Conference teams from Columbia County because...2) I am back with ccSCOOP at least one a partial basis for now as they build towards something bigger in terms of covering the area! When I do daily breakdowns again next week I will be talking about all the teams in the league again but for the sake of this write up I don't have the time to discuss every team in the league.

BOYS SOCCER WEEK IN REVIEW

Ichabod Crane

We already fully covered Monday's match up in which first place ICC held on to beat second place Cairo Durham in a 3-2 thriller so take a look at that full game write up for more details.

In their second game of the week the Riders hosted winless Hudson and struggled to claw out a 1-0 victory against a feisty Bluehawks team. Bernie Watt scored the game's lone goal to help the Riders remain undefeated.

Just like the Cairo game, ccSCOOP fully covered the Riders 3-0 shutout win over rival Chatham from Friday so take a look at the site to see our full recap.

Hudson

The Bluehawks started the week off with a tough 1-0 loss to Catskill as Hudson remained winless. Hudson played tough and had their chances but surrendered a second half goal to a team who they had a legit shot at beating.

A winless team against an undefeated team on paper seems like a mismatch but Hudson fought hard and scrapped as they fell to ICC in Valatie by just one goal. Despite not earning the win, playing the top team in the league to a one goal game is an impressive feat. Brett Delamater came through with a great game in goal for Hudson making 12 saves.

Chatham

Building towards some important games in the upcoming days the Panthers took care of business against Taconic Hills with a 7-0 victory on Monday. Todd Van Alstyne led the Panthers with a pair of goals and a pair of assists.

The Panthers traveled to Greenville in brutally windy conditions which limited both teams. The Panthers Will Gauthier scored a goal early and Tyler Mashaw added one shortly there after as Chatham held on for a hard fought 2-0 win.

On Friday the Panthers hosted ICC as they looked for the upset. Check the site to take a look at feature on this match up.

Taconic Hills

The Titans had a rough start to the week as they fell to Columbia County foe Chatham 7-0. Jake Littman and Gabe Arcuri combined in goal for the Titans to make 26 stops.

On Wednesday the Titans rough week continued as they fell to Coxsackie Athens 4-1. Coleman Jaeger scored the Titans lone goal in the loss while Littman made 15 stops in the loss.

On Friday the Titans ended their week 0-3 as they dropped a 2-0 contest to Greenville. The two teams played a scoreless first half before the Spartans broke through. Littman made 8 more stops in the loss.
