Tuesday's Boys Soccer

Four games per the usual in the Patroon Conference on Tuesday. Not much in the way of major upsets or anything like that, so write into the results.

Maple Hill v. Taconic Hills

The Wildcats who have had their fair share of struggles in the early goings this season took care of business on Tuesday going to Craryville and winning 5-0. The Wildcats jumped on top early with three first half goals and added two more in the second half while barely being threatened.

Derek Van Alstyne was forced to make sure 2 saves to earn the win. For Maple Hill five different players were able to find the back of the net including Chris Despart, Adam Fuller, Corey Legge, Will Monty and Jake Yager. In goal for the the Titans was Jake Littman who made 10 stops.

Maple Hill will look to get build upon this win when they face winless Hudson on Thursday while the Titans are off until Monday when they will head to Chatham for a tough match up.

Greenville v. Ichabod Crane

The undefeated Riders survived an early scare on Tuesday and held on for a 4-2 win at home over Greenville. After falling behind 2-0 in the first half the Riders netted one before the half time whistle and added three more in the second half to pull out the win. The two goals allowed by the injury plagued Rider defense were only the second and third allowed this season.

Steve Domino and Alex Mastrianni split time in goal for ICC with both goals being scored on Domino who ended up with six saves while Mastrianni made seven stops in the second half. Their counterpart in goal for Greenville, Tucker Lewis made six saves.

Will Poetzsch continued his strong play for the Riders scoring a pair of goals, while Kyle Kline and Mitchell Niemeyer each scored one. Freshman Tyler Jablanski picked up another assist for ICC while Justin Stall who has quietly been having a vary solid season for the Riders picked up an assist of his own. The Riders will travel to Coxsackie on Thursday in an interesting and potential trap game for ICC.

For Greenville George Harvey and Tim O'Connor each scored a goal. The Spartans head to Catskill on Thursday for interesting contest between two middle of the pack teams.

Coxsackie Athens v. Chatham

In a battle between two teams looking to position themselves in the top three in the league the Panthers got a first half goal by Evan Young off a Ryan Behrens assist and that was enough for the 1-0 win. Other information was tough to come by.

C-A will host ICC in a good match up Thursday as they look to pull the upset while the Panthers will host Cairo Durham in a crucial mid season battle. The Mustangs beat Chatham 3-1 earlier this season.

Hudson v. Cairo Durham

The Mustangs were able to hold onto second place after a hard fought 3-1 win over the Bluehawks. The 'Stangs scored a pair of first half goals before the two teams traded scores in the second half.

Peter Zoellner scored a pair for C-D with Kody Koenig scoring the third. Chris Gagliardi, Dalton Phillips and Stephen Zwoboda each picked up assist. Cory Gransbury made seven stops in goal.

Per their usual this season the Bluehawks struggled with finishing as they remained winless. Their lone goal was a Hector Chavez header off a Zack Barlotta corner. Brett Delamater made 12 saves for the 'Stangs.

Hudson will host Maple Hill on Thursday looking for their first win while the Mustangs will travel to Chatham.
