Well ccSCOOP didn't quite live up to my hopes and expectations with what they were promising. I loved the idea of being on camera and talking about the seasons but the restrictions of the studio didn't always translate into the best videos or interviews.
Being able to pick what games I wanted to go to was great, but considering I was not the one putting the actual game articles onto the site we were often times 2 or 3 days late on stuff. What is the point of having an online "newspaper" if it takes longer to get it on the site than it does to just get it into an actual printed newspaper.
All in all it was a fun learning experience and I did enjoy my time there. With the economy the way it is journalism isn't the best place to be in at the moment so I'm doing a lot of other things to keep busy but still love local sports and keeping tabs on the schools I grew up around and the new sets of athletes that come through every year, so my goal for this blog is to go to games whenever I can and post about them here. I will be putting up some pictures here and there and also some video. I'd love to maybe even set up a little studio here in my house and do some videos (won't be the highest quality but still an avenue for me to discuss the sports).
